Indy Johnston
October 2024
Indy is one of four siblings and was born in England and has moved eight times in her eleven years!
Her dad serves in the REME and she has enjoyed the different adventures that military life brings.
Indy’s mum told us that she has loved the chance to make new friends in every new place, and has been grateful for the experiences that Army life has brought, from meeting inspiring people like Prince Edward to exploring different parts of the UK.
Indy’s mum nominated her for Little Trooper of the Month as Indy has faced an incredibly tough time recently, spending weeks in and out of the hospital, all while her dad was away on military exercise. Through it all, she has shown remarkable resilience and bravery.
Indy’s mum told us “Thank you again for recognising her resilience and spirit—it means so much to us all!”
Louise Fetigan founder of Little Troopers said: Growing up as a forces child can come with plenty of challenges on its own but to then face health worries on top of this and be in and out of hospital while your serving parent is away, is really tough. Indy, you are such a little trooper and we hope this award helps you to feel recognised for what you’ve been through.”
Indy will receive a medal and £100 gift voucher from Little Troopers.
This month, our Little Trooper of the Month Award has been sponsored by technology group, Thales.
