Little Troopers is proud to announce Logan, aged eight, as our Little Trooper of the Month for September.🎖️
For the past seven months, Logan’s dad has been deployed overseas with the British Army, meaning Logan has had to navigate a long period apart from his dad, alongside a huge amount of change in his young life.
During this time, Logan has also been processing the sudden loss of his grandad last year. While his dad has been away, he has received diagnoses of both ADHD and Autism and has been beginning to understand and navigate what these mean for him.
Logan’s dad was due to return home recently and the family had planned a weekend away to celebrate his homecoming. Sadly, they have recently learned that his deployment has been extended, with no new return date confirmed, meaning their plans have had to be cancelled.
Despite this disappointment, Logan continues to be his funny, loving and football-obsessed self. He has had so much to process over the past seven months, often without fully understanding why things have unfolded as they have.
Logan absolutely loves certificates and awards, so receiving a Little Troopers medal means a great deal to him. His nomination was not simply about the challenges he has faced, but about the strength, resilience and courage he has shown while navigating them.
When Logan was told he had been chosen as Little Trooper of the Month, he was absolutely delighted!
Logan said:
“I’m very excited and just wanted to say a big thank you to Little Troopers!”
Logan’s mum, Katie, said:
“It is such wonderful news that Logan has been chosen as this month’s Little Trooper of the Month winner. He has been through a lot over the last seven months and seeing the joy on his face when he found out he had been recognised has meant so much to us.
“It has given him a real boost and something lovely to celebrate, it has been amazing to see just how happy and proud he is.”
Louise Fetigan MBE, founder of Little Troopers, said:
“Logan has shown such determination and has not let the challenges he has faced take away his positivity.
“He has navigated the challenges that military life can bring with a smile and we are delighted to recognise him as our latest Little Trooper of the Month. We hope this award gives Logan something special to celebrate and a little extra encouragement during what continues to be a challenging time for him and his family.”
Congratulations, Logan! We are so proud to celebrate you as our Little Trooper of the Month. We hope your medal reminds you just how special you are and how much your strength, courage and wonderful personality are appreciated.
