The festive season is just a few weeks away, so we want you to let us help with your Christmas Shopping! We can help with stocking fillers, homemade gifts and our very own Little Troopers cards.
Louise, founder of our charity, said, “Over the years we have designed and commissioned some unique items for our shop. There are clothes, dressing up outfits and smaller items like wristbands, bobble hats and books. Whether you are shopping for the main gift or stocking fillers, take a look.”
Clothing
We love to build the pride among our little trooper community and we have some gorgeous T-shirts and Hoodies for your children. You could get ahead on time and order one of our yellow Dandelion T-shirts in preparation for Dandelion Day in April.
We also have some special Dressing Up outfits to help your children dress up like Mum or Dad. There are Army, Royal Navy and RAF outfits in sizes from 3 to 7 years old.
Books
We have worked with Author Donna David to create a unique set of story books for our military children. Illustrated by Dan Butcher, they were designed to help your little trooper feel proud of themselves.
- ‘I’m a Little Trooper’ is a Pre-school book that describes experiences, feelings and emotions that thousands of military children face growing up in the Armed Forces community.
- Our Dear Daddy and Dear Mummy books tell the story through letters. Tom, Tilly and Freddie write to their serving military parents about their thoughts and feelings.
- In ‘My Navy Life’, My RAF Life’ and ‘My Army Life’ the story is told through children’s diary entries. The books explore the highs and lows of having a parent serving away from home.
Stocking fillers
If you are looking for smaller gifts, we have some ideal stocking fillers; Little Trooper Medals, Wrist Bands, Pin Badges and Dog Tags.
Christmas cards
We have also designed a set of Christmas cards, with a fun military theme. Each design is unique and made especially with military families in mind. The cards come in packs of six, perfect for spreading a little festive cheer!
Keeping your little ones busy at home
As the excitement for Christmas builds, we can help keep your little ones busy and save you some money. Have a look at Crafty Little Troopers and get crafting. We’ve lots of Christmas craft ideas. There are activity sheets for making biscuits, salt dough decorations, Christmas cards, Christmas eve sacks and even eco-friendly wrapping paper.
Our crafter Cyrus made some gorgeous wrapping paper. With some help, he cut a star out of a potato and used it to make prints on the paper. You can cut any shapes and use any paint; you just need some blank paper. He said, “It was fun making my own paper. I used it to wrap up Mummy and Daddy’s present.”
Also keeping the environment in mind, our Christmas eve sack is great way of recycling an old pillowcase. The wrapping paper can also be recycled if you can keep the design glitter free.
Louise, adds, “I hope we have given you lots of ideas and we can help make your Christmas special.”
