Our charity founder Louise Fetigan MBE recently met HRH The Princess Royal at the Veterans’ Foundation tenth anniversary celebrations. The Foundation has been a great supporter of our charity funding several key projects.
The tenth anniversary event was held at the Honourable Artillery Company and we were thrilled to be showcased during the evening. Over the last ten years the Veterans’ Foundation has funded a number of our projects including the All Together program, Christmas Smiles boxes and our Primary school online workshops. They are currently providing three years core funding for the charity.
Louise, said “The Veterans’ Foundation believed in our work from the very beginning. Most importantly they have always recognised that military children deserve dedicated support throughout their childhood to help them thrive. That belief and support have enabled us to reach thousands of military children and their families over the years. We will always be incredibly grateful for their trust and partnership.”
Veteran’s Foundation
Since its launch in 2016, the Veterans’ Foundation has awarded almost £40 million in grants to more than 500 charitable organisations and 1,100 projects, delivering life-changing support across housing, mental health, education, employment, wellbeing and community services for veterans, serving personnel and their families across the UK.
Jane Gurney, CEO of the Veterans’ Foundation, said: “We were delighted to welcome Little Troopers to our tenth anniversary celebrations and to recognise the incredible work the charity does for military children and their families. Military service affects the whole family. Little Troopers makes a real difference by helping children build resilience and thrive despite the unique challenges they face. We’ve been proud to work alongside them over the years and are excited to see its impact continue to grow.”
Louise added, “Congratulations to everyone at the Veterans’ Foundation on an incredible first decade. It was a fantastic evening celebrating everything you’ve achieved.”
