We need your help to deliver Christmas Smiles this year. With just over 9 weeks to the big day, we are asking you to donate to our Christmas Smiles appeal. Our festive campaign aims to bring smiles to the faces of children whose parents are deployed over Christmas.

Louise, founder of our charity said, “6,300 service personnel were deployed over Christmas last year. There will be similar numbers this year and 72% of them will leave children (under 18) behind at home. Deployment is always hard, but can be especially difficult when everyone is celebrating together with family. Our families tell us that deployment at this time of year significantly impacts their child’s wellbeing”

“Over the last few years, we have been donated bears to deliver Christmas smiles and hugs. This year we are building on that idea and doing something different. We want to deliver some lovely Christmas goodies, along with practical resources from us, to help your family get through the separation in a fun and supportive way. Everything will be packed up in a gorgeous Christmas box.”

The resources in each box will help each child feel connected to their serving parent. They will include guided activities for children to enjoy at home. The activities are fun and can help them talk about and manage their feelings at this difficult time.

Louise, adds “More details about our full Christmas Smiles campaign will be released in November, but we can only deliver the Christmas boxes with your help. We’d love you to donate as much as you can and share the fundraising link with your friends.”
