The Veterans’ Foundation has awarded Little Troopers with a grant of £15,000 to help with the charity’s Education Roadshow. The money which will fund the workshops and conference series will make a big difference in helping us reach the education sector.
Louise explains “We are so grateful to the Veterans’ Foundation for their support with this project. We had big plans this year to take an Education Roadshow around ten UK locations to spread the news about some of the challenges our little troopers face in school. As you can imagine the Covid-19 situation has added inevitable delay. We will be making a decision shortly as to whether we can go ahead with some locations much later this year or postpone until 2021.”
The plan is to take our primary school resources and wellbeing course out on the road. Providing face to face training for teachers and educational professionals and show them how our resources can help the military children in their school.
David Shaw, CEO of the Veterans’ Foundation said “We are delighted to give this grant to Little Troopers and thus benefit the education of armed forces’ parents’ children. We are proud to support Little Troopers and wish them every success as they grow and are able to do more.”
Louise added “The grant will make a huge difference to our children who can have very specific needs. It will help thousands of children in education to get consistent support.”
