We’re so excited to announce that our charity’s newspaper, the Little Troopers Gazette, is included in a new Move -you-in-Box. The new initiative has been developed and produced by e50k, a not-for-profit Social Enterprise, in partnership with Amey Defence Services.
The Move-you-in-Boxes were co-designed with members of the Armed Forces community to provide a new style of welcoming families to an Amey managed Service Family Accommodation (SFA). These beautifully presented boxes aim to support their transition into a new home, new neighbourhood, and new community. From 1st April 2022 every family moving into a home within an Amey managed region of the UK will receive one.
Louise, Founder of our charity, said: “Moving to a new posting is such a big thing for military children. We love that the e50K team have thought about this and included our Gazette in the Move-You-In-Boxes. The Little Troopers Gazette is a unique newspaper that helps military children feel part of a special community. It’s somewhere they can share stories, read about others experiences and celebrate what it means to be a little trooper. We’ve already had some lovely feedback from families who have enjoyed reading their copies.”
Rachael Ladd of e50K’s Senior Leadership Team, and project lead for the boxes said, “It has been an inspiring project to create, I am humbled by the support and comments the project is already getting.”
The Little Troopers Gazette is joined in the box by products have been sourced from eco-friendly, sustainable and small businesses with links to the Armed Forces*. So far this year over 3300 boxes have been packed by an amazing team of Spouses, Partners and Significant Others (SPSOs) from a distribution centre at Catterick Garrison. A further 2763 will be going out later in the year to locations in North and Central Regions of the UK.
