Support our team!

This weekend 30 of our supporters will be climbing Scafell Pike and we would love you to support our team! Climbing mountains is a Little Troopers tradition; this is the first time we have taken the climb up north.

The team has raised over £3,200 so far and we would love to hit a target of £5,000. You can donate to any of the team individually or make a general donation. To donate click here.

Louise, founder of our charity said, “I will be joining the team on Saturday for the climb. I’ve never climbed Scafell Pike before so we’ll be embarking on a new adventure together. As a small, financially humble charity we rely on fundraisers to help us continue our work. These mountain climbs mean so much to me. It is lovely to see a group of people come together to help us continue our work.”

Amy Cooper will be taking on the climb with Louise. She left the forces in 2008 but her husband, Ben, continues to serve in the Royal Navy. The couple have two daughters, Renee (9) and Sienna (4) and have regularly used resources from Little Troopers.

Amy comments: “Military children experience different emotions when dealing with having one or both of their parents in the forces. It is tough for them to understand why their parent must go when all their friends get to see them every day and can share their achievements in school and sports.

“It isn’t easy being the one at home trying to keep the morale in the house high and create countdowns and keep memories of their dad playing with them etc. going until they return. Little Troopers providing days out and online resources, which I have also sent into school, really helps the girls. They feel special and realise their parent makes a difference. My upmost respect goes out to all the little military troopers out there. I have never completed a challenge like this before and I am both excited and nervous!”

Thank you

We want to say a big thank you to our trek sponsors – Team Forces.  They have heavily subsidised the entry fee for the trek. The fee covers the guided trek, safety, medal, certificate and tea and cake post trek.
