Limited edition birthday packs available now

We are so excited to announce that we have added a limited-edition party pack to our free birthday card scheme. The packs are aimed at Armed Forces children who will be celebrating their birthday over the coming weeks and have a parent serving away from home.

We have been sending handwritten birthday cards and a special birthday badge to military children since the charity began, but parents requesting a birthday card from the charity over the coming weeks will also be sent a mini birthday pack. The pack includes balloons, a banner and cake flags.

In addition, we have introduced two new card designs, one aimed at under 11s and one for older children. Parents can decide exactly what is written in the card, with many choosing to send a message from a serving parent who is away from home as a birthday surprise.

Louise Fetigan, founder of Little Troopers, comments: “It’s always difficult when military children can’t see their serving parent on their birthday, but lockdown and social distancing have made it even harder because children can’t see their extended family and may have had their birthday party or birthday trips cancelled.

“A birthday card and pack might seem like a small gesture, but it can be a huge boost to children on their big day. It shows these children that they are very special Little Troopers who are part of our military community and that we are proud of them for coping during this difficult time.”

Little Troopers has 500 free birthday packs available. To order one, visit www.littletroopers.net/little-troopers-at-home/birthday-card/ and fill out the form. Once the 500 packs have gone, the free birthday card scheme will continue as usual.
