Why not Get Cakey this summer and raise money for our charity? Lots of our supporters both old and young have held cake sales recently and many have used our celebrity recipes.
Louise, our charity founder, said, “A cake sale is a great way to raise money and who doesn’t love cake?! I know it can be hard to keep your little ones busy for six weeks. This is a great activity for all the family, you can plan your event, make posters and bake.”
Three fundraisers have chosen to hold a Get Cakey event recently:
- Little Trooper Neve raised £84.00 by running a Get Cakey at her local Veterans Hub community café in Weymouth. Neve organised the event as part of her Civic Award.
- Olivia is organising a Get cakey for a Brownie badge. This is the perfect way to help you get your Baking or Charities badge.
- Kate – has organised a Get Cakey event at her Nursery for Armed Forces week, which includes Armed Forces Day on the 29th
Joanna Lumley, Harry Hill, Kelly Holmes and others have provided their favourite cake recipes. The celebrity recipes along with resources to help you organise a Get Cakey event will be on our website. There you will find an organiser pack, bunting, menu page and poster. You can also order a Get Cakey pack, which include stickers, badges and chefs hats to decorate.
Louise adds, “Our top Get Cakey Fundraisers will receive one of our special Get Cakey aprons.”
