The 1st February means that we’re kicking off Fundraise February. Have you organised your ‘Get Cakey’ event? Don’t forget that we have lots of inspiration with recipes from some of our celebrity friends including Dame Joanna Lumley.
Lots of ‘Get Cakey’ events have been organised already and there is always time to organise yours. We have everything you need to help you with your cake sale event.
Kate, whose boys Zac and Ben raised £118 by running a bake sale from home, said: “We had a great time organising the sale. The boys loved getting involved with making the krispy cakes. We ordered a Get Cakey pack from the charity, which was brilliant. The bunting and posters made it super easy to decorate our stand. We were so grateful to everyone in Bulford who came to buy some yummy treats.”
Louise, founder of our charity said, “Fundraise February brings our community together to help us raise funds. As a small charity, support from families and schools is vital to continue our work. Get Cakey events are a brilliant way to raise money, but if you fancy something different, we have lots of other ways to raise funds this month.”
Don’t like cake?
We know that there are some people in the world who don’t like cake! If the thought of baking terrifies you there are lots more ways that you can get involved in Fundraising February. If you are company, you could have a staff raffle, or a fundraiser in store. One company just popped a donation box next to the tea and coffee in the kitchen and raised £200!
We have also had some incredible support from amazing children who wanted to fundraise for us. Cyrus cleaned beaches, Ella made lavender bags to sell and Annabelle gave up eating sweets for a month!
