We are so excited to announce the launch of our Dandelion themed Primary School workshop. This is the third workshop in our Little Troopers at School program and you can find everything you need to run it on our website now.
Louise, our charity founder, said, “Supporting our little troopers in school is hugely important and we love to work with educators to make it as easy as possible for them. Our workshops have been hugely popular and we are excited to launch the third one this month. The workshop is themed around the dandelion and can be used at any time through the year.”
The workshop celebrates what it means to be a dandelion in an engaging, easy-to-deliver two-hour session. Presented by well-known TV broadcasters Evie Pickerill and Ben Cajee, it is delivered as an “as-live” session. Over two hours the presenters will engage children through games, drawing and other fun activities. Together they will explore what it’s like to grow up in the military community.
How you can use the workshop
Everything you need for the workshop can be found online. It covers topics such as Being a Military Child, Friendship and Mindfulness, with a dandelion theme woven throughout. Make sure you download the PDF which includes facilitator notes, certificate and all the activity sheets you’ll need.
Then at a time that suits your school, bring your military children together in a hall or classroom space. All that’s left is to press play on the workshop and enjoy the session together.
Thank you
This workshop was made possible with funding from BAE Systems. We are so grateful to them to for supporting our Little Troopers at School project in this way.
