Betty’s Bakes raises £250 for Little Troopers

Bethany from Betty’s Bakes has raised £250 for Little Troopers. She loves baking and began to send boxes of cakes to her partner’s friends in Cyprus. They were so popular that she started a business through Instagram and is donating 50% of her profits to Little Troopers.

Bethany started selling the cakes in February, she always loved baking, and in lockdown found it really calmed her. When she found out she would be moving with her partner, who is in the Army, she thought it would be a good way to fill her time and meet new people while raising money for charity.

Bethany and her partner are just about to move to their first Army home together! She said “I have never moved house in my life, so the thought of moving 2 hours away from my friends and family is really daunting! When I started selling my cakes, I decided that 50% of profits would go to charity. I looked at lots of Military charities, and Little Troopers really stuck out to me. I felt the children of Service men/women must find it so tough to be moving lots, and missing their parent. I find it difficult missing my partner and the thought of moving has been so scary, and I am 26!!!”

Bethany is selling a box of her delicious cakes for £12 (which includes postage). You can make up a box from a list of twelve different types of cookies and cakes (minimum of two per item). Some of her best sellers include Millionaires cookie bars, Betty’s special brookies and Biscoff brownies!

You can order your box now, through her Instagram page bettybeenbaking.
