Best Wishes to Her Majesty The Queen on her Platinum Jubilee

At Little Troopers we are so excited to join the Nation in celebrating Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. As the Head of the Armed Forces for 70 years we are wanted to recognise the amazing way she has led our country and our military.

Louise, Founder of our charity met The Queen in 2018, while her Husband was serving in Afghanistan. Louise was able to share the work of Little Troopers with Her Majesty, who became a Military spouse herself when she married the Duke of Edinburgh in 1947.The Duke of Edinburgh served as a Commander in the Royal Navy.

Reflecting on the Platinum Jubilee, Louise said, “Walk around any military patch right now and you’ll see just how much our Armed Forces families love Her Majesty The Queen and are excited to be joining in her Jubilee celebrations. Everywhere you look there are flags, bunting and other decorations. Marking the monarch’s 70th year on the throne is a once in a lifetime event and a great opportunity to talk to your little troopers about the pledge of allegiance that all military personnel make to serve the Head of our Armed Forces.

For any families who need last minute decorations for the Jubilee, check out our bunting and flags on our Crafty Little Troopers page. You just need a printer, coloured pens or pencils and some ribbon. There are also crafts for Father’s Day and Armed Forces Day if you want to get organised during half term.

Louise adds, “We hope our Jubilee crafts and other activities help bring a sense of occasion to your family jubilee celebrations and make your military children feel proud to be part of our Armed Forces community and our special connection to Queen Elizabeth II.”
