This week we want to show you how your little ones can get creative and save money! We have some great Crafty Little Trooper activities to help you get ready for Christmas. Little Trooper Cyrus, has been busy and we have put together a how to guide for the Christmas wrapping paper and gift sack.
Wrapping paper:
Tips – we bought the brown paper from The works – it was £2 a roll. We cut off a large strip of paper and secured it to the table with a little tape.
Step one – select potatoes and shaped cutters
You can use the cutters to help you cut your potato stampers. Or your parents can help you do a freehand stamper, by drawing a shape and cutting it out with a knife –

Step two
It is good to let your potato stampers to dry out a little bit or you can use some kitchen roll to dry them. Then use a sponge or brush to put paint on your potato stamper. We used paint markers. Then stamp onto your brown paper. Keep painting and stamping shapes.

Step three
Leave it to dry. Once dry you can use it just like normal wrapping paper and the great thing is that if you do not use glitter, it can be recycled.

Christmas Eve sack
You need to find an old pain pillow case and a big piece of cardboard to fit inside the sack. We used an opened up Amazon envelope.
Step one
Put the cardboard inside the pillow case. Cut your name out of felt or any other spare material. Stick the letters on your pillow case using a glue gun (with your parents help) or double sided sticky tape.

Step two
You can cut out more christmas shapes to stick on or use fabric pens to add more decoration, like we did.
