This week we’re looking back and celebrating a year of fundraising for Little Troopers. We are grateful to all of our supporters who have raised money in 2024. Every penny that is donated ensures that we can keep supporting our little troopers, no matter where they are.
Louise, “Our charity is small and every pound raised makes a big difference. We’ve had support from some amazing families, schools and groups. It is so special when our little troopers get involved in raising funds so they can help others like them.”
Lots of our little troopers have persuaded their parents to join them for all sorts of fundraising fun. Here are some of our fundraising family highlights:
Dad Barry and his little troopers Jude and Astrid Evans joined us for our Scafell Pike climb, along with Bethan (Mum) and Isabelle Barnes, and Kat and Sophie Henderson. The climb up England’s highest mountain was really tough and all our families reached the top despite the wind and rain! Ours families helped us raise over £6,400.
Continuing the climbing theme, Dad Chris and his son Alex climbed 3 peaks in 3 weeks! They started with Ben Nevis, moved down the country to the Lake District and then over to Wales for our favourite mountain Snowden! They beat their target raising £530.
Mum Leanne and Kara Dunmill joined forces to enter the 10k and family fun run. Leanne who was running 5k regularly set herself the challenge of reaching 10k in 8 weeks! Leanne and Kara raised £220.
The Tautz family have been supporting us for a few years. Kiki recently took on a 15k inflatable obstacle course raising over £1,100 and her nan held a Get Cakey event raising £420. Kiki’s mum and nan also joined us as volunteers at the Army v Navy event.
