We’re calling out to future journalists! How would you like to see your name in print? We would love your little troopers to send us stories for the next edition of our Little Troopers Gazette.
Louise, founder of the charity said, “If you’re out of ideas for half term why not take up our story challenge. They could grab a pen and interview their Mum or Dad about why they joined the military. Or they could write a poem or sport report. We love the fact that the Gazette features little troopers own stories. It’s a great way to let our military children shine.”
The Gazette newspaper gets sent to hundreds of families, schools and other organisations that have contact with military children. If your little one loves to write, they can choose from topics including ‘My Military Life’, ‘My School’ and ‘Where I Live’.
Issy Rowberry did just this, she said, “I wrote an article last year about my trip to Plymouth with Little Troopers. Seeing my article in print was really exciting and I felt proud to share it with my family and friends. I really hope that other military children would have read the article and want to try out one of the residential trips (and maybe even write an article of their own!).”
If you are not sure where to start you can visit our website. It is super easy to write an article. We have topic ideas and downloadable templates to help your budding journalists. We need stories for the next edition to be sent through by the 3rd March 2024.
