Turn the world yellow on Dandelion Day!

In a month’s time we would love your help to turn the world yellow on Dandelion Day! On the 4th April we’re dedicating a day to our little troopers, who are often compared to a dandelion. Military bloom wherever the wind carries them.

Louise, founder of our charity said, “April is the Month of the Military Child. Over the last few years, we have built up some great relationships with schools, welfare teams and community groups. This year we’re asking for their help to turn their community yellow on our new dedicated Dandelion Day.”

On the day you could dress head to toe in yellow, add yellow accessories to your own clothes or dress up as a yellow character! Families and businesses can take part as well, by wearing a yellow item to work and school such as socks or a hair scrunchie.

Louise adds, “In the past lots of schools have organised own clothes days or dress as your hero days to raise funds for us, in Month of the Military Child. We wanted to organise Dandelion Day to bring together the community and put on a visual show of their support for little troopers!”

If you want to add to your Dandelion Day, you could check out our dandelion crafts in Crafty Little Troopers. There are free to download activity sheets for Dandelion cookies, Dandelion pom pom flowers, DandeLION masks and Dandelion fingerprint art. The finger print art and masks would be great fun to make at school.

Dandelion Day is only one of the activities we have planned for Month of the Military Child. There will be an exclusive giveaway of our new Dandelion book plus online and in person events. You can find out about all our plans here.
