Little Troopers Wellbeing Course

The Primary Military Child Wellbeing Course is the first of its kind, designed to help children in the military community explore and understand the unique challenges they experience while their parents serve in the Armed Forces.

This comprehensive pack includes everything needed to deliver a child-friendly, interactive programme made up of seven sessions. Topics include coping with separation and deployment, managing house moves and living abroad, as well as exploring personal themes such as belonging, identity, and mindfulness.

The course has been created by a team of experts, including a cognitive behavioural therapy specialist, creative arts psychotherapist, and play therapists, working alongside Little Troopers founder, Army veteran and military parent, Louise Fetigan.

“The aim of the Military Child Wellbeing Course is to acknowledge that service children sometimes need additional support, and to provide a safe space where they can open up about their experiences and learn positive ways to navigate these challenges, now and in the future.”

Designed for small groups of children aged 6–11 years, the course is flexible and accessible making it just as relevant for schools with two service children as for those with one hundred or more.

The course complements the Little Troopers existing Primary Resource Pack. Each school purchasing the course will receive a USB with all of the course materials included so they can be used time and time again. Any profits from the course will go back into the Little Troopers fund to continue creating resources, initiatives and events to support military children.

The wellbeing course template can be purchased for £150.00, all materials needed included.
