5 year old Joshua is our new Little Trooper of the Month

Recently our charity gave a Special Recognition award to 5 year old Joshua Cockburn. This special little boy was nominated for the Charity’s Little Trooper of the Month initiative by his best friend Eva who is also 5 years old.

Eva nominated Joshua because he has been incredibly brave after having an operation for his rare heart condition, which has meant lots of time in Hospital and at home recovering. Louise Fetigan, founder of the Charity said: “We think Joshua is an incredibly brave little trooper and we know that you will all join us in sending him lots of love and best wishes for his recovery.”

As we roll into the new Decade, we wanted to highlight one of our charity’s greatest initiatives – Little Troopers of the Month. Everyday our little troopers face enormous challenges whether it is moving home, school, or facing another day without Mummy or daddy at home. Their lives are hard, but sometimes our little ones have to face even more.

Little Trooper of the Month is there to recognise those who have been exceptionally brave, inspirational or just extra special against all odds. Anyone can nominate a child who has a parent serving in the British Armed Forces. Our Little Troopers of the month receive a special prize, certificate and lasting recognition of a customised, unique medal.

Louise adds “We are calling on Unit Welfare Offices, Community Development Workers, Schools/Nurseries and parents to tell us about the super special children in your life.”
