I’m a Celeb fans! Did you know that Jordan North is one of the celebrities who sent us an inspiration message for military children. Jordan grew up as a Little Trooper and is one of eleven celebrities who feature in our new 2021 calendar.
Speaking about military life, he told us: “I think it makes you stronger as a person. You pick up life skills that you don’t even know you have developed, like the ability to meet new people and get on with them. You’ll be able to adopt to new surroundings, and are ready to take on new challenges easier than most of your peers…” He goes onto to talk about how special the bond is between military parents and their children.
The Little Troopers 2021 calendar features heart-warming photos and stories of real-life military children, as well as personal messages written by celebrities to inspire all young people who have a family member serving in the British Armed Forces. The calendar is designed for children and their families to use at home with a section to add what they’re looking forward to each month.
Alongside Jordan, there are messages from Richard Jones, Mark Ormrod MBE, Colonel Dame Kelly Holmes, Jenny Éclair, Major Heather Stanning, Kris Akabusi MBE, Joanna Lumley, Andy McNab, Billy Billingham MBE and Semesa Rokoduguni. All of these people have either served in the military or grown-up as a military child.
Louise, Founder of our charity said, “We love our celebrity messages in our new calendar and are so grateful to them for agreeing to be part of it. For many Little Troopers it can be tough when you’re in the middle of a deployment or about to move home and school again. Quite often it is a struggle to see the positive in all the changes and these lovely messages from our celebs show them how special they are and encourage them to be proud.”
