Dates for your Diary!
We’re excited to get started in our work to support little troopers this year and we have some crucial dates for your diary to share. We have so much planned and some dates for your diary.
Louise, founder of the charity, said, “Last year was our most successful and we’ve some big projects coming up. We will be reopening our Therapy programme this spring. It will offer one to one and group support. We’ll also have lots more fun with our All Together project, reach out to more schools with our third school workshop and releasing new podcasts for our SQUAD series.”
We would love you to get involved with our work and fundraising to make 2026 even bigger and better!
Fundraise February
Why not sign up for a fundraising event to help us help even more little troopers this year:
- Get Cakey – We have lots of resources online to help you organise your own cake sale. Budding bakers can download an organiser pack, celebrity recipes, colour-in bunting and a poster template. You can also order a Get Cakey pack, which includes stickers, badges and chefs hats to decorate.
- Doing your online shopping through Give as you live. When you register with the site, you can select Little Troopers. Then all you need to do is access your favourite shopping sites through the Give as you Live link. The shops make a donation to our charity, without it costing you a penny.
- As a family you could do a virtual mountain climb or organise a read-a-thon
Month of the Military Child
April is the month of the military child and we love to celebrate our little troopers. We have a couple of events we want you to put on your calendar:
- 12th April 2026 – Little Troopers Family fun day and Fun Run will be held at HMS Temeraire in Portsmouth. There will be two distances for children to take part; a 1km toddle and a 2.5km track run for older children.
- 15th April 2026 – Dandelion Day is where we invite everyone to wear yellow to recognise the incredible role that our little troopers play in our Armed Forces community.
Little Troopers online
The programme of All Together online workshops continues this year. We have five more workshops booked in for the next few months:
- 10th January 2026 – Devon Science will be delivering a fun and engaging science workshop. With a little help they can make their own lava lamps and more.
- 7th February 2026 – Zest Dance workshops will host a dance party with your children joining from their own living room!
- 18th February 2026 – we’re going back to space with our Space Detectives.
- 21st March 2026 – all your child’s dinosaur questions will be answered and you will get to see some great fossils presented by our experts from Dino Star.
- 18th April 2026 – Little artists can create a masterpiece in our special drawing class with Art Base.
