Chelsea Pensioners helped us kick off Christmas Smiles
A group of little troopers and Chelsea Pensioners helped us kick off Christmas Smiles at the weekend. 11 military children joined the Veterans for a fun morning of Christmas themed activity.
Families enjoyed a scavenger hunt around the hospital, before making tricorn hats, enjoying a Christmas story and socialising over lunch. Louise, founder of our charity said, “The events at Royal Hospital Chelsea are so special. It is lovely seeing the Chelsea Pensioners and little troopers share their experience of life in military families.”
Louise adds, “The day at Chelsea was the first event in a month full of activities. We want to deliver lots of Christmas smiles throughout December. Make sure you and your friends are signed up to our mailing list to get the news first!”
Christmas Boxes
A team of volunteers came together last month to create 2000 Christmas boxes for military families experiencing deployment this Christmas. The boxes are packed full with Little Troopers resources to support children through a separation period. They also have lots of lovely festive treats to bring Christmas sparkle.
We have 500 boxes that individual families can apply to receive. 1,500 have already been sent to units who centrally bid for boxes, please check with your unit before applying.

Odeon Cinema
On the 23rd December we are hosting free, exclusive cinema screenings of SpongeBob Movie- Search for Square Pants. The screenings will take place at ODEON cinemas in Andover, Harrogate, Hereford, Port Solent and Colchester. Bookings for this event will open soon. Weekly giveaways, including Panto tickets
Throughout the month we will also have weekly giveaways and free Pantomime tickets. We will send these out to the mailing list and post them on social media throughout the month – watch this space!
