This month we have been blown away by our fundraisers. We are so grateful to all of our supporters and we love to shout about their achievements.
Louise, founder of our charity said, “It has been such a privilege to attend some events this month to collect cheques and talk about our wonderful charity. This has been made even more beautiful by some incredible personal fundraising challenges. Read on to see how incredible our supporters are.”
St Oswalds Retirement Village
This gorgeous retirement village chose Little Troopers as their charity of the year. Throughout the year they have held lots of which has seen many fundraising events and raised £5,148.11. The year concluded with a Remembrance Dinner on 8th November. Louise and Marie from Little Troopers attended for an evening of 1940s music, a remembrance service and themed dinner.

Ultra Marathon
James Bennington, who is not a runner took on the Thames Ultra Marathon and smashed it. He said “I am not a runner; this has been an enormous mental battle, but it was so worth it watching the donations come in. Training within a military community has been incredible – every Sunday for almost 4 months I ran a marathon and had at least 5 other people joining me, running part of the way and some even completing their first marathon. This community made it so much easier.”
James chose to support Little Troopers as his family have been supported by our charity. He adds, “Living within a military community, I fully understand the incredible resilience required and challenges faced by military children daily, therefore choosing to raise funds for Little Troopers was simple. I have seen both of my children require support and resources from Little Troopers, and I know so many children that benefit from their support.”
James has raised £1500 so far and you can still sponsor him here.
Walking an Island!
