Christmas Smiles Boxes are back!

We’re delighted to announce that Little Troopers Christmas Smiles Boxes are back for 2026! 🎁 The gorgeous boxes will be packed full of Christmas treats and Little Troopers resources to help families through deployment.

Louise, founder of our charity, said: “We know how much these boxes mean to the military children who receive them. Deployment can make Christmas particularly tough for families when a parent is away from home. This year is the 10th anniversary of our Christmas Smiles campaign. The boxes join the programme again this year, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!.”

We pack each box with love, featuring a special selection of Little Troopers resources alongside festive treats like reindeer food, chocolates, and other fun surprises! This year, we are also excited to include our brand-new Christmas book, written by our favourite author Donna David and beautifully illustrated by Dan Butcher.

Packing the boxes

For us, Christmas Smiles truly starts on our box-packing day at the end of November! Every year, an amazing group of volunteers joins us in Bovington to set up an incredible, fun production line. We can’t wait—watch our website and social media channels for news about the day and a sneak peek at this year’s box!

Welfare Teams can apply for boxes now

If your unit, regiment, ship, or base has a number of serving personnel deployed over Christmas who have children, you can apply for your bulk boxes here. Louise adds, “This is a fantastic way to make sure that the boxes reach lots of families. To keep costs down we ask for the welfare teams to arrange collection.”
