Armed Forces Champions
Why do companies partner with Little Troopers?
Our defence industry partners are dedicated to supporting the UK Armed Forces from the back office to the front line. Little Troopers allows them to carry that commitment into the homes of serving personnel and classrooms of their children.
Join us, and we’ll help you:
- Meet your ESG ambitions
- Honour your Armed Forces Covenant pledge
- Strengthen your brand
- Enhance employee engagement and welfare
- Demonstrate your dedication to the Defence mission

Why our mission matters
We’re a registered charity committed to supporting all military children who have parent(s) serving in our British Armed Forces, regular or reserve.
Military children are a resourceful, resilient bunch – but they shouldn’t have to be. They face unique challenges including frequent house and school moves, as well as regular periods of separation from their serving parent(s) for varying lengths of time due to exercises, training, operations and other service commitments.
We make sure they’re supported, included and celebrated at home, at school, and in the community.

How to get involved
There are so many ways to support the Little Troopers mission – through grant funding, programme sponsorship, fundraising or payroll giving.
Sponsorship
This provides vital funding for our core operations and specific programmes. For our partners, this means:
- Increased brand visibility
- Positive PR
- Enhanced employee engagement
- Demonstrable social impact
Fundraising
Fundraising initiatives are essential for sustaining our work. Benefits for our partners include:
- Opportunities for team building
- Enhanced company reputation
- Improved employee engagement

Case study: SII Group UK
Commitment to the defence mission runs deep at SII. Just read the company’s Armed Forces Covenant pledges, or consider the fact that around 20% of the staff are veterans, and it’s clear that the company’s dedication is a matter of personal as well as professional pride.
But perhaps it’s the company’s ongoing support for Little Troopers that speaks loudest.
SII staff have given up their time to support our Christmas Smiles initiative, they’ve clocked up the kilometers on Strava to raise funds, and they’ve been conspicuously colourful participants in Dandelion Day.
SII’s support has made a huge difference to Little Troopers as an organisation and, of course, to the military families across the UK that we exist to serve. And while it’s hardly a motivating factor, SII would be the first to acknowledge that the benefits have run both ways:
- Proving SII’s commitment to its Armed Forces Covenant pledges
- Helping satisfy the company’s CSR obligations
- Demonstrating Social Value to public-sector customers
- Enhancing SII’s brand
- Bolstering employee engagement
“…I’m incredibly proud of SII’s involvement with Little Troopers. The charity’s work supporting military children and families is truly inspiring, and it’s an honour to contribute to their mission.”

Case study: BAE Systems
As one of the UK’s largest employers of veterans, BAE Systems understands the sacrifices made by military families and remains deeply committed to supporting the Armed Forces community.
In 2024, BAE Systems proudly sponsored the Little Troopers Christmas Smiles Box campaign, helping children whose parents were deployed overseas during the festive season. The company exclusively funded 2,500 Christmas Smiles Boxes, each filled with treats and activities designed to bring comfort and joy to children spending Christmas apart from a parent.
BAE Systems employees also volunteered their time at Bovington Garrison, packing the boxes during a festive, community-driven event. The day was captured in short, engaging videos that were shared across BAE Systems social media channels, showcasing both the impact of the initiative and the spirit of its people.
Impact of the 2024 campaign:
- 2,500 military children received a gift that reminded them they are seen, valued, and supported.
- BAE Systems strengthened its reputation as a leading champion of the Armed Forces community.
- Volunteer involvement and shareable content amplified awareness and generated widespread goodwill.
Over the past 12 months, Little Troopers and BAE Systems have nurtured a strong and meaningful partnership. Following the success of the 2024 campaign, we are delighted to confirm a formal two-year agreement (2025–2027) with BAE Systems, focusing on our Little Troopers at School programme. Together, we will continue to deliver positive impact for military children, building on shared goals and a commitment to the Armed Forces community.
“These boxes aren’t just ordinary presents – they’re tailored for military children and they mean a lot. I feel great to be able to support this cause, because Little Troopers is doing an amazing job.”
Evelyn Chilaka, Bid Manager
