Series 2 of SQUAD Is Coming Soon

I’m so excited to announce the launch of Series 2 of SQUAD, our podcast created especially for older military children and for anyone who wants to hear extraordinary life stories shaped by growing up in a military family.

Series 1 was something truly special. It brought the voices of military young people to the forefront and explored what it’s really like to grow up within the military community.

Series 2 is something we’ve wanted to bring to life for a long time. It had to feel right and most importantly, meaningful. We know that military children can achieve their full potential and we also know that so many have powerful stories to tell. To finally launch this next series feels incredibly exciting.

Following the success of Series 1, we’re proud to continue the SQUAD journey with the support of BAE Systems, whose funding has made Series 2 possible. Their backing allows us to amplify more voices, share more stories and reach even more young people growing up in military families.

SQUAD is a space to feel seen, inspired, and connected. It’s the place to come if you’re part of a military family or if you’re curious about how growing up within the military community can shape resilience, ambition and creativity.

Across five powerful episodes, we speak to people leading the way in creative arts, hospitality, sport and engineering. Our guests include a Bridgerton actress, a Michelin-star chef, a professional rugby player, a musician and someone who grew up as a military child, joined the Armed Forces and now works on aircraft.

Together, they reflect on how military life influenced their journeys, from frequent moves and constant change, to discipline, adaptability and determination. This series celebrates the idea that you really can achieve your dreams and that the unique patchwork of military life can be a strength, not a barrier.

What makes this series even more special is that military young people helped shape it. From thought-provoking questions to sharing their own lived experiences, having the Little Troopers community represented was incredibly important to us. Thank you to everyone who features.

These episodes will once again be available as a school resource, complete with facilitation notes to support discussion in educational settings, while also being a great listen for anyone else who wants to tune in.

Series 2 of SQUAD is honest, inspiring and full of hope, I can’t wait for you to listen.
