How are you surviving half term, is your household feeling spooky yet? If you are struggling to keep the children entertained, we have lots of fun Halloween Crafts. They can help keep them busy and help you with prep for the ghostly evening.
Louise, founder of our charity comments, “Many schools now have a two week half term. When the weather is changing and the days are getting darker, it’s harder to keep the family entertainment going! Don’t worry we have lots to help you.”
Crafty Little Troopers
On our Crafty Little Troopers page, you will find over 50 activities, there’s something for everyone. For Halloween you could make some chocolate ghosts or spooky biscuits. For those looking for five minutes peace there is also some Halloween bunting that can be printed and set as a calm colouring in project.
Online Bake-a-long
On Tuesday (29th October) we have an online bake-a-long session with CookStars. Your little ones can join our host to make a Ghoulish pizza. You can register now, and the full ingredients list will be sent to you, so you can get all prepared.
A chance to catch up
The October school break can often be the first chance that families get to relax after a summer move. If your children have moved schools or home or missing their Mum or Dad, you could use our X-ray of feelings to check in with how they are feeling. Alternatively, if anyone needs a boost you can print of our Affirmation cards and have fun leaving them round the house to lift morale.
Small job for Mums and Dads
Louise adds, “The main thing that parents should be doing is taking five minutes to make a cuppa and sit down! However, we also have one little request. If your child started a new school in September, please make sure your teacher knows about Little Trooper at School. We are launching a really exciting new initiative next term and they will not want to miss out!”
