Little Troopers Accessibilty Statement

Our commitment to accessibility

Little Troopers is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standard across our website and digital materials.

We want everyone who visits our site to be able to:

  • Navigate using a keyboard or screen reader
  • Read all content clearly with sufficient colour contrast
  • Resize text without loss of content or functionality
  • Access all features using assistive technologies

We regularly review our website and design work to ensure they remain as accessible as possible.

How accessible is this website?

Most of our website is compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA standards. However, we are aware of the following areas that may need improvement:

  • Some third-party integrations (e.g. embedded maps or booking systems) may not be fully accessible
  • Some older PDF documents may not meet accessibility standards
  • Colour contrast in certain interactive components is being reviewed for full compliance

We are actively working to address these issues.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We have taken the following steps:

  • Designed and tested our colour palette for sufficient contrast:

Typography

  • Normal text requires a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1
  • Large or bold text (≥14pt bold or 18pt+) requires 3.0:1
  • Text must be legible and scalable without breaking layout
  • Navigation must be accessible by keyboard and screen reader

Colour Usage

  • Default text colour: Navy Blue (#2C246C)
  • White text (#FFFFFF) is only allowed:
    • When it is bold and meets at least 3.0:1 contrast
    • On dark backgrounds like Navy (#2C246C), Teal (#3A9DB0), or Coral (#D2594A) e.g. buttons

Typography

  • Minimum body text size: 16px
  • Button/navigation text: 14px bold
  • Avoid full uppercase in long content
  • Ensure clear line-height and spacing
  • Created templates that use legible typefaces, minimum font sizes, and clear navigation
  • Trained our team in accessible design and content practices
  • Run regular accessibility checks

We are also committed to including accessibility in all future updates and digital projects.
