New Family Reconnection Weekend

We’re excited to announce our next Family Reconnection weekend. On the 13th June we’ll be heading to Lyndhurst in the New Forest for our second weekend in the series. The Family Reconnection weekends are part of our All-Together programme and aim to bring military families together to take part in new activities promoting connection before, after or during a period of military challenge.

Louise, founder of our charity said, “We know how time apart affects relationships between the serving person and their children. We wanted to host these weekends to help bring them back together or have quality time before they depart. We’re excited to be offering an off grid, back to basics weekend in the forest. Families will get to enjoy various adventurous activities with other military children and parents.”

The New Forest weekend will kick off at 17:00 on Friday 13th and finish at 15:00 on Sunday 15th June 2025. Over the weekend there will be child only time, adult only time and time to share as a group.  Our families will be able to get away from technology, enjoy the outdoors and try new experiences.

Some of the highlights of the weekend are:

  • Night walk weaving in and out of the beautiful forest
  • Archery and Axe throwing
  • Raft Building on Leominstead Lake

The weekend’s funded so no cost, however it’s your responsibility to get your family to and from the activity centre. Accommodation in separate shepherd huts, food and activities included.

We have two more Family Reconnection weekends this year:

  • Brenscombe on the 25th-27th July 2025
  • Portland on the 26th-28th September 2025

Information for both will be sent out to our mailing list and posted on social media.
