Little Troopers is going to be offering Primary Schools and Educational professionals across the country the chance to test drive some of its Little Troopers at Schools resources and take part in an Education Conference. Following the expansion of our Education work we felt it was time to take to the road so more schools can see how we can help. The charity is planning to visit ten locations between February and June 2021. Teachers and some of their military children will be invited along to experience three free workshops for a morning or afternoon. We are planning to visit Lincoln, Catterick, Brize Norton, Bulford, Swanton Morley, Colchester, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Benson and Aldershot. Alongside the roadshow the charity is also planning five Conferences. These Conferences are for everyone with an interest in military children in education. During the day we will be talking about the challenges that service children face and how we can all work to recognise and support those in education settings. The Conferences will take place in Northallerton, Salisbury, Colchester, Portsmouth and Aldershot in the first half of 2021. Louise, Founder of the charity said “We have worked with several teachers to develop our Education resources and are thrilled that schools across the country are using the Primary School Resource pack. However, we want to know if we could be doing more. In our roadshow we plan to have an author’s workshop, Wellbeing session and a role play section using the gorgeous mini military outfits that we sell in our online store. We have a wealth of materials to help schools now and we want to come to see you put them into action and find out what else we can do to help?” To find out more about the Roadshows and Conferences and to book your place, click here.
