Spreading the word about Little Troopers at School

Louise Fetigan founder of Little Troopers recently shared some of the charity’s insight into the challenges faced by military children in school at the SCISS (Service Children in State Schools) conference in Harrogate.

Louise spoke about the charity, life in a military family and our schools project. She also ran a more in-depth discussion group with some of the conference delegates. Louise said, “It was a real privilege to be at the conference listening to some really interesting speakers and talking about how together we can limit the disadvantage that our service children face”

Since launching the Little Troopers at School project we have been contacted by so many teachers and families asking for advise. Our Primary School resource pack is proving very popular and we’re excited that we can start development on the Secondary School resource pack and military child well-being course template thanks to funding from The Veteran’s Foundation.

Lots of resources are available for schools free of course such as our information sheets (including Service Pupil Premium), forms and the activity sheets. If you are a school you can also sign up to our schools newsletter HERE
