We’re delighted that the Little Troopers Teen Toolbox has been awarded highly commended in the Teach Secondary awards 2023! Our resources were judged in the Secondary free resources category.

Our Little Troopers at School Teen Toolbox has been developed working with teenagers, educational psychologists and teachers. All of the resources are free to download. On our website teachers can find everything you need to set up a Forces Life Club and registration for our Wellbeing Course. Alternatively, they can listen to the Squad Podcast with their pupils and use associated worksheets to discuss the issues raised. There is a variety of activities to explore.

Judges comments

The judges of the Teach Secondary awards said: “Here are three different approaches to supporting children of service people. This allows schools to select what works best for them.”

“The Military Child Wellbeing Course template offers in-depth, tailored support.”

“The Forces Life Club resources are well laid out; the topics are carefully considered and so they meet a very real need. They’re easy to use, and a club could be a great way to support students in a voluntary setting rather than removing them from lessons, or doing specific PSHE for this cohort.”

“The SQUAD podcast is easy to access, including a range of young people themselves and so is relevant and appropriate. It’s not an adult talking to children, which can seem distant or irrelevant. It’s great as a resource to be used at home to back up the other two.”
