Little Troopers is on CBBC Newsround

We’re so excited to tell you that Little Troopers is on CBBC Newsround today! Our Little Trooper of the month Lilly was interviewed, along with her sister Daisy, for Month of the Military child.

Lilly Pidsley lives Bulford with her Mum, Dad and little sister, Daisy (9). Since Lilly has been born, she has lived in five homes and been to three different schools. Her dad has been deployed overseas four times, and regularly spends time away from home on military exercises and operations.

Newsround presenter Emma-Louise was given a tour by Lilly of the base where she lives. After they sat with her sister Daisy to find out what life is like with a parent in the military. If you missed Little Troopers is on CBBC Newsround today, you can watch the interview here.

The adventures of Month of the Military Child are continuing at Little Troopers. Louise, our charity founder said “It is busy, busy this month but we are really enjoying all the activities. We are only half way through the month and there is so much more to come.”

Online Workshops

We have two more online workshops for little troopers:

On the 20th April we have the perfect workshop for dinosaur fans. Our little troopers will get to see genuine and replica dinosaur fossils from their collection. The collection includes replica teeth and claws, dinosaur footprints and even a real dinosaur egg. The children will also get a chance to ask questions.

On the 27th April we will finish of the month in style with a bake-a-long session with Three Bears Cookery Club. Little troopers will get the chance to make Berry Muffins. While the bakes are in the oven, you’ll get a chance to play some games before going onto decorating. Each family will receive an electronic recipe card and certificate that they can print out for their children.

Aldershot run and family day.

If you live near Aldershot, come and see us on Sunday 28th April for a fun morning celebrating the Month of the Military Child! As well as a 10K race in aid of Little Troopers, families are invited to come down to take part in our family fun run. We’ve also organised LOADS of fun activities to get your little troopers smiling. Don’t miss out!
