Free summer adventure for military teens in Rutland

Applications are open for our free summer adventure for military teens in Rutland. From 19th to 21st July, we’ll be coming to Rutland to host an adventure weekend for military teenagers aged 13-16.

The weekend is part of our All Together club. The aim of the programme is to bring together teenagers who might not know each other but all share similar experiences having grown up in the forces community.

Held at Shacklewell Hollow, Rutland, the teenagers will get to enjoy lots of outdoor activities. There will be giant go-karts, bushcraft, climbing, target shooting and playing on the water slides!

Applications open

Applications are now open for a place on the two-night residential and any tri-service and reservist families. The weekend is an opportunity for the teens to start their summer holidays by turning their phones off, making new friends and having lots of fun.

Louise, founder of our charity, said: “Our All Together programme recognises that being a military child is a unique experience. Often only other children who are going through that or have been through that experience really understand it. This will be our fifth All Together residential in two years. We find the children instantly click and make friendships that last well beyond the weekend.

“We’re exciting to be holding this weekend at the start of the summer holidays. Exams are behind everyone and we can just enjoy the activities and make memories these young people will remember forever. Hopefully the sunshine will also make an appearance!”

Thank you

How to apply

The weekend is completely free to attend, but transport is not provided. Parents must be able to drop their children off on Friday evening and collect them on Sunday afternoon. If the weekend is oversubscribed, priority will be given to children who have parents on deployment.
