Nominate your little trooper for a special award

At Little Troopers we know how incredible our military children are at coping with the challenges of having a parent in the Armed Forces. However, we wanted the chance to recognise military children who have been exceptionally brave, inspirational or just extra special against all odds, so we launched our Little Trooper of the Month scheme.

Over the last few years, we have given a special award to over 40 children who have been nominated by their parent, teacher, friend or unit welfare officer. Louise, founder of the charity said, “There have been heart-warming stories of, supporting siblings, starting support groups in schools and being young carers, alongside tragic stories of severe illness or losing a parent. We love having the opportunity to shine a spotlight on their lives and give them the recognition they really deserve.”

We are so excited to have two sponsors for our Little Trooper of the Month scheme this year. Amazon and the Institute of Supply Chain Management are funding the prizes for twelve of our recipients. Our monthly winner will receive a customised unique medal, certificate and £50 voucher. We will also shout about how amazing our winners are on our website, social media and other related publications.

Anyone over 18, can make a nomination for a little trooper; all you have to do is complete the form on our website telling us why you think they should receive the award. If you are not the child’s parent you will need to get their permission (other T&Cs are on the website form here).

Louise adds, “We can only choose one little trooper each month so if you have nominated before, please feel free to try again.”
