Last weekend we invited 13 Military teenagers to join Louise for an activity break as part of our All-Together deployment club. The Teens who have parents serving in the British Armed Forces enjoyed a weekend of team building and outdoor activities.  

The residential break at the Liddington Adventure Centre was part of our ‘All Together’ deployment club. The club was set up to support young people while their military parents are deployed or due to deploy soon. Forces families travelled from Ludgershall, Tidworth, Colerne and Andover to take part in the activity weekend.

Fantastic Weekend!

Across the weekend, the teenagers bonded outdoors as they took part in canoeing, buggy building, archery and climbing. Louise, founder of our charity, says: “Growing up in the British Armed Forces community is a unique experience. One that is only shared amongst the young people who live through it. Our All-Together project is all about bringing these children together so they can talk to peers with similar experiences.

“We had a fantastic weekend in Swindon meeting a group of brilliant teens from the local area. Parents have already told us that their children really benefited from the weekend and have made new friendships.”

Tai (14) comments: “It’s been a great experience to spend time with other military kids who go through the same things as me, like having a parent away. I hadn’t met anyone before we got here, but some live near me so I’m hoping we’ll stay in touch.”

Cole (13) adds: “It was awkward when we first arrived as none of us knew each other but within hours it was like we’d known each other for ages.”

Online Workshops

In addition to running teen residential weekends, the All Together project includes a series of online workshops and adventure days. Our next online workshops for Little Troopers under 10yrs old are:
