New – Little Troopers Treasures for Deployment support

A new Little Troopers Treasures section has been created on our website to help you through times apart. We know how tough separation from a parent can be, so we wanted to make it easy for you to find everything you need.

Louise, founder of the charity said: “Being apart is common for many military families. There are lots of reasons for separation, be it due to a deployment, course, exercise or living unaccompanied. In the new website section, you will find ways for you to stay connected and make memories to treasure while you are away and when you are all back together again.”

The Little Troopers Treasures section is divided into three sections:

  • Free downloads including separation diaries, Time difference sheet and our X-Ray of Feelings for parent going away
  • Shop items including our Separation pack, Little Troopers medals and certificates
  • Book recommendations

At the top of the website page, you will find the therapy video for deployment/ separation. This is one of three therapy videos that we launched last month. If you want to check out the others you can find them on the Therapy page here.

If you’re finding things really tough you may also want to read our family stories on our ‘about us’ page. Bryley, Kirsty, Isabella and Hannah, were all little troopers and are now raising their own families in the military community. They reflect on their memories and how it has helped influence the support that they give to their own children.

Louise, adds “We hope that some of our resources help you support your family. It’s natural to want to help your children, however don’t forget to give yourself some TLC too. Whether it’s a glass of wine or a cup of tea – try to put some time aside for you.”
