24-hour fitness challenge for Little Troopers

Corporal Callum Milner who is based at the Army Training Centre in Pirbright took on the challenge of 24 Army Personal Fitness Assessment runs in 24 hours starting on the 19th September 2017 at 1400hrs. On the hour every hour throughout the day and night Callum set off on another run raising over £500 for Little Troopers.

The Personal Fitness Assessment run is just over 2.4km so he ran a total of 58km in 24 hours. Callum chose to do the challenge for Little Troopers as he has seen some of the work they do at the Annual Summer Camp, which is held at Pirbright. He said: “Having seen myself and my children being involved with some of Little Troopers activities, I am very impressed. I wanted to do something to contribute to help support this charity and further highlight the awareness and good cause it provides.”

Callum, who is an Instructor at the Army Training Centre in Pirbright completed his final run in the company his troop of recruits ,the run was their final run at Pirbright before they move onto other units around the country.

Louise Fetigan, Founder of Little Troopers who went there to cheer them on said, “It means so much when people like Callum get involved and raise money for our charity. Little Troopers may be small but there are over 120,000 children with parents serving in the British Armed Forces who need our support. The money raised by people like Callum makes a big difference.”
