Why dandelions?
The Dandelion is known as the official flower of the military child. That’s because it’s a hardy plant with strong roots. It’s a survivor that blooms anywhere the wind carries it, flying in the breeze to new lands and new adventures. ‘The Dandelion Poem’ was written by an unknown author and tells the story of just how special military children are.
During the 2020 lockdown we asked some real Little Troopers to read the poem at home.
