Henry Georgeson
May 2022
Henry’s Dad serves in the British Army and has spent more time away than at home since Henry was born, missing multiple birthdays and Christmases. His Mum, Lizzy, is an amputee, and Henry helps her around the house while his Dad is away. Henry has also battled with his own health problems and recently spent a week in hospital having a bowel procedure and has had to attend lots of appointments and blood tests without his Dad for support.
Mum Izzy, comments: “Henry really misses his Daddy but he just gets on with it without any complaints, helping me do household jobs and trying really hard at school. He makes everyone laugh and is often described as a mini comedian. He is a real little trooper and we are so proud of him.”
As ‘Little Trooper of the Month’, Henry has received a Little Troopers medal, certificate and a £50 voucher.
Louise Fetigan, founder of Little Troopers, said: “It’s not easy for any military child to have their parent deployed away from home for many months at a time, but Henry has really gone above and beyond, helping his Mum around the house and also coping with his own hospital stay while Dad has been away. He’s very deserving of our Little Trooper of the Month Award and we hope he wears his medal with pride.”
This month’s award has been kindly sponsored by The Daily Ding Dong. A senior sales leader with Avon Cosmetics offering affordable but fabulous products for all as well as helping reps all over the UK to earn a flexible income from home.
