Myles Smith Age 5
Myles was hit by a drunk driver on his was home from school in January 2015, luckily he had his bike helmet on which doctors said ‘saved his life’ Myles suffered a complete broken leg, fractured pelvis, broken nose, bruised lungs, cuts from head to toe and he has a stone embedded in his temple which can’t be removed. Myles was hospitalised for 5 days after his ordeal.
Myles was in a wheelchair for 8 weeks, which was frustrating for him as he was so active prior to his accident.
Emma Smith, Myles’s mummy nominated him for Little Trooper of the Month, she says “He has been so brave and taken everything in his stride since his accident in January.He still has a little way to go to correct his walk but we will get there. The main thing is he is smiling again”
